1 — What HuntingtonMod is

HuntingtonMod is the trading brand of HuntingtonMod GmbH, a German limited liability company registered at the Amtsgericht München under HRB 285 741, with head office at Maximilianstraße 34, 80539 München, Germany. The company was incorporated in the spring of 2024 for the purpose of publishing small personal-utility software applications — a journal, an expense log, a habit dotted-grid, a mood check-in, a budget-envelope planner, a receipt scanner, a subscription register, a reading log, a gratitude notebook and a weekly review — sold as monthly subscriptions to individual users inside the European Union and a small number of surrounding European countries.

2 — What HuntingtonMod is not

HuntingtonMod is not a bank, and is not a subsidiary, division, affiliate, agent, sponsor or partner of any bank. In particular, HuntingtonMod is not affiliated with, endorsed by, connected to, sponsored by or otherwise associated with any of the following entities, together with their parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, predecessors, successors, officers, directors, employees and agents:

• Huntington Bancshares Incorporated;
• The Huntington National Bank;
• Huntington Investment Company;
• any other entity trading under the "Huntington" name in the financial-services sector of the United States or elsewhere.

HuntingtonMod GmbH has no ownership, technical, commercial, contractual, licensing, referral, resale or endorsement relationship with any of the above entities. No product sold by HuntingtonMod GmbH is a banking product, a securities product, an insurance product, an investment product, a payment product, a lending product, a deposit product or any other regulated financial product.

3 — Why the "Huntington" name is used

The "Huntington" name is used descriptively in the trading brand HuntingtonMod and in the marketing copy on this site because a significant portion of the company's earliest European customer base consisted of individuals who used Huntington Online (the online-banking front-end of Huntington Bancshares) for their United States accounts, and who wished to keep a matched European personal-productivity workspace under a memorable, related name. This descriptive use is intended to fall within the fair-use and comparative-reference norms applicable to non-US customers in the European Union under Article 14(1)(c) of the EU Trade Mark Regulation 2017/1001 and equivalent national provisions. It is not intended to suggest, and does not suggest, any affiliation, endorsement, sponsorship or business relationship with Huntington Bancshares Incorporated or any of its subsidiaries.

4 — Geographic scope

HuntingtonMod GmbH offers services exclusively to users outside the United States. Sign-up is geo-restricted at the country of residence field on the checkout screen; residents of the United States, including its territories and possessions, cannot open a workspace. If a US-based user reaches this site by mistake, they should close it and contact their actual bank or financial-services provider directly. HuntingtonMod GmbH cannot forward requests, cannot resolve US banking issues, and cannot help with US-facing financial products of any kind.

5 — What HuntingtonMod sells

HuntingtonMod sells ten monthly-subscription personal-utility software applications — small note-taking, journaling, habit-tracking, mood-tracking, envelope-budgeting and personal-expense-logging tools. Every number, entry, receipt image, note, checkmark, tag and reflection inside these apps is typed, uploaded or ticked by the user, by hand. The apps do not read bank statements. The apps do not connect to bank cards. The apps do not aggregate financial data. The apps do not hold, move, invest, deposit, withdraw, exchange, lend, borrow or transfer any money whatsoever.

6 — Payment

Payment is by SEPA transfer, in euros, to HuntingtonMod GmbH's HypoVereinsbank München account (IBAN DE49 7002 0270 0000 8823 47, BIC HYVEDEMMXXX). No card is stored, no third-party payment processor is used, no US card acceptance is offered. The first month is included on every subscription. From the second month onwards, an invoice is issued on the first working day of the month, with a 14-day payment window.

7 — Data storage

All customer data — journal entries, expense rows, habit checkmarks, mood entries, receipt images, reading notes, gratitude cards and weekly-review PDFs — is stored inside the customer's HuntingtonMod workspace bucket, hosted in Frankfurt (Hetzner FSN1) and Munich (Hetzner NBG1). Data is encrypted at rest, encrypted in transit, never leaves the European Union and is never used for machine-learning model training.

8 — Regulator & data-protection authority

The competent data-protection authority is the Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht (BayLDA), Promenade 27, 91522 Ansbach, Germany, under registration number BY-DSA-2024-08417. The company's data-protection officer can be reached at dpo@huntingtonmod.org.

9 — Trademark ownership

All trademarks, service marks, trade names, product names, logos and brand designs mentioned on this site — including the word mark "Huntington" — remain the property of their respective owners. The use of the "Huntington" name in the trading brand HuntingtonMod is descriptive and non-suggestive of any affiliation. If any trademark owner would like to discuss the use, please write to support@huntingtonmod.org and the company's Munich legal team will respond within five working days.

HuntingtonMod is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Huntington Bancshares Incorporated, Huntington National Bank, or Huntington Investment Company. The 'Huntington' name and marks are used descriptively for non-US personal-productivity software, in accordance with fair-use and comparative-reference norms applicable to non-US customers. HuntingtonMod GmbH offers services exclusively to users outside the United States.
